What are Functional Skills and GCSE qualifications?
Functional Skills are regulated UK qualifications in English, Mathematics, and Digital — available from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2. They provide reliable, nationally recognised evidence of a learner’s ability to apply core skills in real-world contexts.
They are accepted by employers and further education providers across the UK and internationally as proof of literacy, numeracy, and digital competence. For learners outside the traditional school pathway, they offer a clear, structured route to recognised achievement.
